Project Archivist
The Amistad Research Center is seeking a Project Archivist for a one-year role focused on preserving and digitizing historically significant records from the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Louisiana. In this position, you’ll work hands-on with archival materials—organizing, describing, and digitizing collections, creating metadata and online finding aids, and contributing to digital exhibitions that make these records accessible to the public. This role offers the opportunity to support meaningful historical research, particularly around African American history, while collaborating with a team committed to preservation, innovation, and community impact.
