Types of Gifts

Cash Gifts
Cash gifts, which can be made using a check or credit card, are the most common and simple type of gift routinely given to Amistad.

Securities
Gifts of appreciaed securities (stocks and bonds) provide potential tax advantages to donors. The full market value of such securities is deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

Bequests
Setting up support for Amistad by means of a bequest in a will or living trust is an excellent way to support philanthropic priorities in perpetuity. If you would like more information about making a bequest or a life income gift arrangement, we would be pleased to provide you, your accountant, or other financial advisor with additional information and assistance.

Double the Impact

Many employers support the personal philanthropic efforts of their employees through a matching gift program, allowing donors to double or even triple the impact of their gifts. In some cases, gifts from spouses, directors, and retired employees are matched.
