The United Church Board for Homeland Ministries (UCBHM) was an autonomous but recognized instrument of the United Church of Christ from 1962 to 2000 that functioned as the administrative body of the United Church of Christ's home missions programs and services. The UCBHM formed in 1962 by the union of the Board of Home Missions of the Congregational and Christian Churches and the Board of National Missions of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and continued the corporations and the work of predecessor mission boards and societies related to those two religious communities. The UCBHM also coordinated the mission of the United Church of Christ in higher education and in health and welfare through the councils established for services in those fields.
