Scope and Contents: Artist Bruce Brice was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1942 and graduated from J.S. Clark Sr. High School. Brice is well known for his folk art paintings, many of which can be found in the New Orleans Museum of Art and reproduced in various journals and publications. The collection consists of professional papers regarding his work as an African American folk artist. Included is correspondence, news releases, news clippings, vita, memorabilia from his exhibitions (1978-1982), and a scrapbook of his exhibitions (1957-1975).
