Scope and Contents: This collection contains minutes, correspondence, election materials, lists, maps, reports, and by-laws of the Economic Opportunity Corporation (EOC) of New Orleans, Louisiana. The organization was a non-profit, non-sectarian body that sought to insure maximum participation in anti-poverty programs by residents of the Central City neighborhood. It worked in the areas of housing, crime, education, health, neighborhood development, and related areas.
